Birgitta Weihrich

Born in Hamburg in 1962, Birgitta Weihrich studied law in Hamburg. After completing her legal clerkship – including a post at the Directorate-General for Competition of the European Commission in Brussels and Speyer – she was admitted to the bar in 1992.
After spending a number of years in a commercial law firm in Northern Germany and as a legal advisor and authorized signatory of an insurance company, she joined ZENK in 2018.
She has many years’ experience in both a wide range of contractual matters and in procedural law. Her focus lies on construction, plant engineering and insurance law, including e-commerce law.
At ZENK, Ms. Weihrich advises primarily on issues pertaining to the real estate industry, private building and architectural law, real estate transactions and the German WEG-Recht (Act on the Ownership of Apartments and the Permanent Residential Right).
