AWARDS
ZENK lawyers have been listed and awarded as leading advisors in the German legal market for years in various renowned rankings in the various fields of law. These rankings are based on surveys of various media among legal colleagues (peer-to-peer reviews) and other market participants such as clients.
Handelsblatt 2021 and Best Lawyers 2022: 22 ZENK Lawyers recognized as Germany's Best Lawyers - Dr. Carsten Oelrichs recognized as ``Lawyer of the Year`` in Advertising Law
Exclusively for the German Handelsblatt, the US publisher Best Lawyers annually identifies the leading advisors in the German legal market on the basis of an extensive peer-to-peer survey. The lawyers are nominated by colleagues and market participants and then evaluated in an anonymous survey. The ranking is also published exclusively in the Handelsblatt as “Germany’s Best Lawyers“.
ZENK is pleased to announce that 22 heads have been recommended as “Germany’s Best Lawyers 2021”. ZENK Partner Dr. Carsten Oelrichs is also recognized as “Lawyer of the Year” in Advertising Law in the Hamburg metropolitan region.
In Real Estate Law, Alexander Baden, Dr. Oliver Nowoczyn, Aldo Trentinaglia, Dr. Henrik Nacke, Victoria-Luise Vollstedt, LL. M. and, for the first time, Birgitta Weihrich were recognized.
In Construction Law, Alexander Baden was recognized for the eleventh year in a row, Dr. Peer Feldhahn, Anja Teiwes, Florian Werner and Bastian Voll were recognized as well.
In Public Law, Dr. Kostja von Keitz was recognized. In Environmental Law, Dr. Wolfgang Hopp and Dr. Ralf Hüting were recognized and, for the first time, Dr. Kostja von Keitz.
In the field of Intellectual Property Law, Dr. Christian Freudenberg was repeatedly recognized and, for the first time, Dr. Stefanie Hartwig and Dr. Lisa Feuerhake.
In Mergers & Acquisitions, Jan Dietze was recognized, and Dr. Bastian Schmidt-Vollmer, LL. M. in Corporate Law.
Dr. Carsten Oelrichs was recognized for the eleventh consecutive year in Advertising Law and for Healthcare Law (Food Law). Sonja Schulz, LL. M. was recognized for the first time in Advertising Law.
In Employment and Labour Law, Dr. Markus Kelber and Dr. Rolf Zeißig were recognized for the first time.
FOCUS Magazine 2020 ``TOP commercial law firm for construction law``
Also for the sixth year in a row, the construction law department at ZENK was listed as a recommended commercial law practice by the FOCUS editorial team in their special edition on “Germany’s Top Lawyers 2020”. The list is categorized into 24 specialist areas of law. The Germany-wide ranking is based on recommendations from peers and surveys of legal departments in companies.
JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms 2020/2021
JUVE “Handbuch Wirtschaftskanzleien” is a reference work of the German legal market. The publication is based on extensive research carried out by an independent editorial team among law firms, corporate managers, representatives of public authorities and employees of the judiciary and academia.

Legal 500 Germany survey 2020
“The Legal 500 (Germany)” is a detailed qualitative review of law firms and lawyers in 48 specialistareas and is used as a referenceby professionals and clients. Every year, the editorial staff interviews hundreds of lawyers and records around 14,000 customer references.
In the 2020 survey, ZENK was listed in the rankings for the Hamburg metropolitan region and the Brandenburg/Berlin metropolitan region with special mention of Dr. Bastian Schmidt-Vollmer and Dr. Michael Hackert as well as Dr. Martin Düwel and Dr. Kostja von Keitz. The trademark and competition law expertise of the team led by Dr. Stefanie Hartwig, Dr. Carsten Oelrichs and Sonja Schulz was also acknowledged.
